TrueDNA may collect the information you enter during onboarding and use of the app, such as your selected answers, language preference, consent choices, and any optional profile details you provide.
2. Face Scans and Images
If you choose to scan your face or upload a photo, the image may be processed to generate ancestry-themed insights and related visual output.
We use the image only to provide the requested feature. Where possible, processing happens only for the purpose of analysis and result generation, and the image is not used for advertising.
3. AI Processing Consent
Before AI processing is used, TrueDNA requests in-app consent. If you do not grant consent, the app should not send your face image or related analysis data to the AI service for processing.
AI processing may include the face image, app language, and the context needed to generate the result you requested.
4. Third-Party Services
TrueDNA may share limited data with third-party providers only when needed to deliver features you request.
- Google LLC: AI processing for scan analysis and result generation.
- RevenueCat: subscription and purchase management.
- Apple: App Store purchases and related system services.
5. Subscriptions
If you buy a subscription, purchase and entitlement information may be processed to unlock paid features and restore access across devices.
6. Data Retention
We aim to keep only the information needed to run the app and support your account. Some data may remain in app storage on your device unless you delete it or reset the app.
Third-party providers may have their own retention policies that govern data processed on their systems.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to reduce unauthorized access, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Your Choices
You can decline AI consent, revoke it later in the app settings where available, and stop using the app at any time. You can also contact us to ask about deleting or correcting data where applicable.
